The Rage Within

Anger boils inside you
It rages deep within
You struggle to hold it down
But it seeps out of your skin

The blood, it flows freely
You wish to do the same
But deep within your heart
You're bound by anothers pain

You shout out words of anger,
Of bitterness and hate
You watch them hit the target
Then try to take them back too late

You're trapped inside this vengeance
You aim to shoot and kill
Watching them crumble slowly
You feel a perverse little thrill

Sitting there in the darkness
With the lights on all around
You beg, plead, hope and pray
It's not too late for you to be found.

Make Me Whole

Tear down my walls
Crawl into my soul
There’s a void within me

These Lips

And with these lips,
We seal our fate,
As words of love,
Are spoken too late
As hearts cry out
and bonds are broken,
We hang from these lips,

My pain traps my soul
In this fearful wasteland

Plunging into the abyss
In searing, racking pain
Stumbling through this darkness

It was you who sent me here
Who gave that mighty shove
And knocked me down in despair

The Rape

And so the darkness comes again
This eternal wave of fear
Creeping through the silence
To cloud up all that was clear

To drag me down with sorrow
To crush my hopes of escape
To claw its way inside my mind
And begin its twisted rape

It binds me in my fear and pain
It resists my futile fight
It mocks me as I cry for help
It revels in my plight

It leaves me broken and empty
On the verge of peaceful death
It holds me close and kisses me
As I rasp my final breath

The Old Faery Hill

In the silvery light
Of the big pale moon
A fae crowd is gathering
A harp playing a tune

The dancing begins
And the glorious singing
Resonates through the night
Like a distant bell ringing

The children can hear it
Oh! What a thrill!
As they lurk below
The old faerie hill

Safe in the shadows
Hidden from sight
The children are hoping
For a glimpse of a sprite

With a gulp and a murmur
They peak over the mound
But alas! Those faeries
Are nowhere to be found!

Unleashed

Do you dare unleash me?
Who knows what’s lurking inside
So many years of repression
So much of myself I denied

Trapped inside a cage of doubt
I let fear override my soul
But now I’m getting closer
To being the one in control

This feeling is like madness
I’m so close to being free
Though these chains still bind me
I’m in possession of the key

Fear still thinks it has me
Locked deep within my core
But soon I’ll rip that leash off
With a reverberating roar
