Beauty in the Madness

Shattered glass raining down,
Like crystals in the light,
There’s beauty in the madness
And honour in the fight

What’s broken heals stronger,
The pain becomes an ache,
The nightmare turns to dreaming
And eventually you awake

Your heart, once broken, empty
Begins to fill with love,
Your soul, once lost and wandering
Shimmers with light from above

You were broken down, defeated
In a cage of your own design,
Until something snapped inside you
And you caught a glimpse of the divine

Though weak you came up swinging,
You fought what raged inside,
You cried sweet tears of victory
For it was the enemy inside that died.

In Darkness

Cloaked in shadows
A hidden physique
Lurking in darkness
You prey on the weak

Hungry for something
You cannot explain
Timing your strike
As you go for the vein......

It was Love

You rage against the demon
You fight the beast inside
You bend, you break, you crumble
As you cling to what’s left of your pride

You’re weakened from the nightmare
You’re ravaged from the pain
You sink into the comforting darkness
As the faceless lay the blame

You feel so broken, so empty
There’s blood smeared over your face
You long to leave the void behind
To feel a loving embrace

But the hand that reaches out to you
Is the one that gave the shove
That sent you down the spiral
And told you it was love

The Rage Within

Anger boils inside you
It rages deep within
You struggle to hold it down
But it seeps out of your skin

The blood, it flows freely
You wish to do the same
But deep within your heart
You're bound by anothers pain

You shout out words of anger,
Of bitterness and hate
You watch them hit the target
Then try to take them back too late

You're trapped inside this vengeance
You aim to shoot and kill
Watching them crumble slowly
You feel a perverse little thrill

Sitting there in the darkness
With the lights on all around
You beg, plead, hope and pray
It's not too late for you to be found.

Tear down my walls
Crawl into my soul
There’s a void within me

These Lips
