I broke against your kisses
And crumbled to the floor
Blood pounded in my ears
And I knew I wanted more
And though my lips were bleeding
Just like my torn up heart
You kissed me with a fierceness
That split my soul apart

The Shore
And there on the edges of
Some distant broken shore
I poured my life into
An empty shell,
It glistened as it whispered
Soft and haunting lies
With a soothing breath
That shivered down my spine
And flayed me open,
To expose to the elements all the
Secrets tangled like seaweed,
Bones bleached like driftwood,
Soul scrubbed raw over buoyant
Waves and rough sand, and a
Heart lying bleeding
Among shards of broken glass…
Some distant broken shore
I poured my life into
An empty shell,
It glistened as it whispered
Soft and haunting lies
With a soothing breath
That shivered down my spine
And flayed me open,
To expose to the elements all the
Secrets tangled like seaweed,
Bones bleached like driftwood,
Soul scrubbed raw over buoyant
Waves and rough sand, and a
Heart lying bleeding
Among shards of broken glass…
